Chesapeake Bay & Virginia International Military “Tattoo” Performances **NEW**

MOTORCOACH TOUR Featuring Annapolis, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Lynchburg & Appomattox

Annapolis, Maryland is located at the confluence of the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay and is known as one of America’s prettiest and most walkable towns.  Explore local shops and restaurants from historic Main Street to the Wharf.  The United States Naval Academy was established in Annapolis in 1845.  Enjoy an afternoon narrated cruise and sail by the beautiful waterfront campus.  Assateague Island is a 37-mile long barrier island located off the eastern coast of the Delmarva Peninsula facing the Atlantic Ocean.  We will make a stop along our journey to visit Assateague Island to learn about this protected area that is vital for resting and feeding migratory shorebirds and serves as home to about 300 wild ponies that wander the beaches, inland pine forest, and salt marshes of the Island.  We will take a cruise with local Guides to remote areas of Assateague Island as we go in search of the Wild Assateague Ponies!  A tour highlight is the ceremonial performances of military music by massed bands at the 2025 Virginia International Tattoo!  We make our way to Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA to enjoy this amazing patriotic show.  The incredible international cast features more than 800 performers – with bands and drill teams from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps joined by civilian and military performers from 7 nations.  Favorites include Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps and the Netherlands Royal Marine Band.  Enjoy 2 nights at a beachfront hotel with an oceanview balcony room at a great location along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.  Explore, walk on the beach and along the pier.  Great seafood is on the menu of course!  Other highlights include a 2-night stay in Lynchburg, VA at the 4-Star Virginian Hotel; a visit to the amazing National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA, and to Appomattox Court House National Historical Park – the place where General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant.  Spend some time at the American Civil War Museum with more than 400 artifacts, photographs, and documents preserved.  Come aboard the Battleship Wisconsin in Norfolk, commissioned over 80 years ago – she is a museum today! Top off the week with another 4-Star Hotel stay at the Graduate Hotel in Annapolis.  This tour was our 2024 Luxury Mystery Tour and we loved it!  We can’t wait to share this new tour with you!
