Featuring the Carlos Museum at Emory University
Join Daniel’s as we travel to Atlanta to learn how the past and the present are connected. Step back 2,000 years at the Discovering the World of Jesus Exhibition – in Atlanta for a limited engagement at Pullman Yards. Relive the moments that shaped history with hundreds of priceless artifacts from the Holy Land, digital reconstructions, aerial photography, and documentary films. The state-of-the-art technologies will lead you on an inspirational and historical pilgrimage through the land and sites where Christ lived, taught, and performed His miracles. The highlight of the exhibition is the James (Yaakov) Ossuary, a first-century stone box found in Jerusalem that held the bones of James, the son of Joseph and brother of Jesus. Considered the most significant item ever discovered from the time of Christ, the James Ossuary is the only archaeological item that can be directly attributed to Jesus’ family. Another highlight of our day is a visit to The Carlos Museum at Emory University where we will explore the art and history of world cultures. It is one of the oldest museums in Georgia with collections dating back to 1876. The Museum boasts the largest collection of Ancient Egyptian, Nubian, and Near Eastern antiquities on the East Coast. The core of the collection includes an extensive collection of artifacts from Egypt and Mesopotamia, including the oldest Egyptian mummy in the Americas. This day will be an inspiring, educational, and unexpectedly delightful experience that you do not want to miss! We will visit Ponce City Market with an eclectic selection of restaurants to choose from for lunch on your own.
The price of the Day Trip includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation from the Daniel’s Depot in Lula, GA and tickets to the exhibits. Day Trips are non-refundable.
